Intermediate Garden Update

No it's not finished yet! ( in case you haven't worked it out - that's a link to previous post re garden- read it before going on!!!)) The gardener thought we were coming home next week, and he's been delayed by bad weather so this is what we came back to!

We also found a bit of a forest by the back door that we had to move to get inside!

At least there's just enough room to ride the bikes around the back although we can't get the car out as there's a skip in front of the garage door! None of this matters as we've only two or three days at home before heading west to our caravan. We're quite relieved he hasn't laid the turf yet because then we'll have to stay home for a bit to water it. Anyway I'm pleased to see we have an apple and a cherry tree to help us with our 5 portions and also a Christmas tree so we can open our prezzies in the garden this year! ( I'll have some thermals please LB!)

That must have been a disapointment for you to come home too seeing the garden not completed, perhaps he'll put a heater out for you for Christmas so it will be warm to open your prezzies.
Have a nice break down at the van.
Regards.

Actually we were relieved. If he'd laid the turf we'd have had to stay home to water it. The boys are coming with us for two weeks so we're really glad we're not tied. The Christmas tree could be important as, at this rate, we're not going to be home in the summer to enjoy the garden! We'll have to have a winter wonderland! And yes a heater sounds a good idea!

I am glad you are home safely. You both seem to have enjoyed the trip.
Are you sure you were away 6 weeks? It only seems like a couple of weeks ago that you posted the "before" picture of your garden before you set off.

Is the latest "intermediate" picture not just one of those you took at the "Bog on the Blog" in Czech? They certainly look very similar ;)

Thankfully there are no noxious smells or bubbly bits in the garden but I agree there's just as much mud! It will look good when finished- honest! And yes the six weeks went far too quickly. We'd both happily get back on the bikes and go off again but think we ought to hang around a bit to keep the parents happy. We'll definately do it again though.
