Day in Butrint

Top photo taken from window of local bus we caught this morning. The scenery is beautiful but the roads are pretty bad. Local life on the bus was interesting. Standing room only, the conductress knew everyone and shouted at most, one woman was breast feeding and we transported a crate of milk contained in assorted water and pop bottles. Destination was Butrint a Greco-Roman town founded in C6th. Loads of ruins and very atmospheric.

Hi. I tried to comment on one of your other hols and it didn't get through ! Thought I'd try again before we go to Shropshire on Sunday. We were on holiday - on a Greek island I think - and a group from our hotel went to Albania and got stranded overnight ! Some of them didn't have enough cash on them for a hotel and had to share rooms with other couples or walk the streets all night ! Seems you're fairing rather better ! Pictures look lovely but I don't fancy those bends in a car much, talk about a bike !
